Tracking storm that could bring snow to New York, New Jersey as freezing temperatures remain
The First Alert Weather Team is tracking a storm that could bring snow to the New York and New Jersey area. Frigid temperatures will last throughout the week.
New Jersey may be facing two big winter threats during the next several days — dangerously cold temperatures from a blast of Arctic air, and possible snow and fierce winds from a strong coastal storm this weekend,
NEW YORK (WABC) -- The deep freeze gripping New York City and the Tri-State is only halfway through, with even more dangerous cold arriving Thursday and Friday. Wind chills will plunge well below zero, and frostbite can develop in as little as 15 to 30 minutes. Friday may be the coldest morning yet, with subzero readings across much of the area.
How's the shoveling going? Every county in New Jersey saw at least six inches of snow on Sunday. The top snow total in the state was an incredible 20.3 inches.
New York City and the Tri-State Area started digging out Monday after a huge winter storm left behind record amounts of snow, with messy and slushy roads.
AccuWeather says the potential is growing for a very strong nor'easter on Saturday and Sunday with widespread impacts from snow, wind and coastal flooding.
