The NFL Draft is officially in the books for 2025, and there were plenty of surprises across the board. That especially holds true in the NFC South, where the Falcons shocked with a massive trade and the Saints passed on a quarterback in Round 1.

After a 5-12 finish last season and hiring Kellen Moore away from the Philadelphia Eagles as Dennis Allen's successor, the Saints opened the draft by picking offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. ninth overall and quarterback Tyler Shough 40th overall. They have seven picks left.

"Like the (New York Giants), the New Orleans Saints drafted a quarterback other than Sanders early. They used the 40th overall pick on Louisville's Tyler Shough," Knox said. "The selection made plenty of sense.

Shedeur Sanders was not the only prospect to receive a prank call during the NFL draft. Kyle McCord, the former Syracuse quarterback who was taken by the Eagles last weekend, told Philadelphia-area media that someone tried to prank him while the draft was ongoing.
