Nvidia has profited enormously from rapid adoption of AI, but the trade rivalry between the U.S. and China has been weighing heavily on the industry.

Jensen Huang pulled off something of a political miracle this week for Nvidia shareholders. As the U.S. and China continue to growl at one another over tariffs and other elements of the trade war between the two countries and the race to attain AI superiority, Huang convinced Donald Trump to lift the ban on select AI chip sales to China.

It’s been a very busy week for Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. After meeting with President Donald Trump and senior officials in Beijing in recent days, Huang has secured a major victory for his AI-chip empire.
