John Rave homered playing in place of the ailing Vinnie Pasquantino and the Kansas City Royals beat Chicago White Sox 6-2 on Saturday night to move above

Rave belted his fourth career homer off White Sox starter Sean Burke in the third inning. He saw two curveballs before connecting on a 93.9 mph fastball. It was his first home run at Kauffman Stadium. He has hit safely in his last five games with an at-bat.

Chicago White Sox starter Davis Martin took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. But the Kansas City Royals rallied against the bullpen to win 6-2.

The Sox left 11 runners on base and the bullpen imploded after Martin pitched six innings of one-hit ball. Now they have to play .500 ball the rest of the way to avoid the century mark for losses.
