A Dhaka court has sentenced 3 men to death for the gang rape and murder of a teenage girl named Maria. The verdict was delivered by Judge Munshi Md. Moshiar Rahman of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-4 on March 25, 2025. The convicted individuals—Sajib (25), Rakib (23), and Shaon (26)—were also sentenced to seven years in prison for concealing the body, along with fines.
