People often mistake my marriage for a traditional one because my husband pays the bills but we have a matrifocal family and we put a lot of our focus into our son and his growth and experience in this world. I do not clean up after my husband or do his laundry and my husband makes dinner most nights or we order out/go out. I am not the family secretary and I am not there to make sure my husband does his fair share and reminding him to be an adult. I do not ask him to spend time with his family.
