For the first time in history, The double-humped Bactrian camels of Ladakh will feature in the 77th Republic Day Parade, bringing national attention to India’s rare cold-desert ecosystem. Scientifically known as Camelus bactrianus, these camels are found in India only in Ladakh’s Nubra Valley.
