Wildfire prevention week is ending, but prevention is a year-round effort. With 90% of wildfires caused by people – your actions can really make a difference! 1. Never leave fires unattended. 2. Always extinguish fires fully. 3. Don’t throw cigarettes on the ground. 4. Keep vehicles off dry grass. 5. Keep fires small, not tall. Remember what Smokey says, “Only YOU can prevent wildfires."
