The length of your dog’s name does not matter. It doesn’t matter if they have three letters or twenty, or if their name is one word or three. A dog can learn a solid recall with their name regardless of how long it is. That part is on the trainer, not the dog. If your trainer cannot teach your dog a reliable recall, whether that’s by using their full name or by creating a specific recall word, that is a fault on the trainer.
