Strong winds hit Orange Beach at Alabama Point and Perdido Pass around 3 p.m. Monday ahead of Hurricane Sally's landfall. Gov. Kay Ivey declared a state of emergency and closed the beaches, recommending evacuations of people south of Interstate 10. | al.com

TROOPER CHASE: Alabama State Troopers confirm a police chase along Interstate 85 north in Chambers County has ended with two people in custody. This video was taken between mile marker 77-78.
