Columbia University student Mahmoud Khalil, who is being detained in Jena, Louisiana just appeared before an immigration judge. The judge granted his counsel a continuance until April 8. Khalil's counsel said they would like more time to review the case. A rep with DHS said the move is costing the government money. The Trump Administration wants Khalil deported and believes he is a national security threat after organizing anti-Israel protests across the Ivy League campus last spring. | Brooke T
